Most of the time I’m a pretty good dog. But every now and again I get the itch to be naughty. My mom went on vacation earlier this month and DID NOT take Joey and me! How rude! I can’t really complain though because even though I wasn’t in Bermuda, ahem, I got to stay in the comfort of my own home while she was away. I let my mom’s cousin stay at the house while she was away and we kept him company. The day my mom got back from her trip she discovered my fun new hobby of digging holes in the backyard. Before she yelled at me to stop she took a bunch of photos of me covered in dirt. I’m not embarrassed though. We all need to get a little dirty now and then; it’s good for the soul.
I bet you’ve been on the edge of your seats wondering how I’ve been recovering from last week’s emergency vet fiasco. Well, I’m doing great! I was back to my normal self by the next day and haven’t shown any signs of discomfort since that night. Phew. My parents tried to “rest” me as ordered by the doc but that proved to be a difficult task once I got back to being myself.
Yesterday, I showed off just how great I have recovered by chasing a pesky mole around my yard. Moles dig up yards and I love my yard! Therefore, I do not like moles. I chased him across the yard and then I was brought inside. I cried at the door to be let back out and when my mom finally gave in, I zipped right over to where I’d chased that sucker. I tried to sniff him out to no avail. All I ended up with was a dirt covered snout. But hey, at least I got him out of my yard!
P.S. Did you know moles make a high pitched squealing noise when threatened? Who knew?!
