My Dog Life

My mom, dad and me are out of town for a few days to celebrate my dad’s birthday and my graduation from training school! Okay, okay, maybe it’s just a trip for dad’s b-day but I like to think we’re celebrating me a little too.

We rode the train out of the city which was fun for like the first hour but after that I started acting up a bit wanting to get out of my carrier. Long story short, mom got distracted dealing with me and left her cell phone on the train. It’s a total bummer because there’s lots of great pictures of me on the phone! My paws are crossed that the phone turns up.

But on to our vacay! We’re staying in a fancy thing called a hotel room and I’ve been having a blast running around the room, jumping up onto the bed (I can just barely make it; this sucker’s much higher than the bed at home), jumping off the bed and barking at every sound I hear. It’s like I’m a whole new dog! My parents have never seen this side of me before. I think they like it…I think?

Anyways, I’ve been checking out brand new trees and grass to sniff, lounging out on our private patio, soaking up the sun and laying poolside all day. But don’t worry folks, my parents are keeping me hydrated and whenever I get too hot I hang out in the shade. By far, the best part of this trip is that even though we’re still in the Bay Area, the weather here kicks San Francisco’s weather’s butt. I hope we stay awhile.
