My Dog Life |
Hi! I'm Happy. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the interwebs. Contact me at happythebloggingdog@gmail.com if you'd like. |
I’m back! Have you missed me? I’ve certainly missed all my readers but I did enjoy my little blogging vacay. My parents got married which is pretty exciting…I guess. They didn’t invite Joey and me to the wedding (so rude!) so I can’t really tell you how it went but my sources say it was wonderful. My mom did display our photos at the reception so we were there in spirit and were rightly given the attention we deserve.
After the wedding, my mom and dad went on a honeymoon…again, without US! It was Joey’s first time away from my mom ever and the longest time I’ve ever been away from them too. We were left behind for an entire week while they relaxed in Mexico. It was torture!! Okay, okay, it actually wasn’t torture. We did just fine without them (a little to their dismay I might add). My Uncle Matt stayed at our house so we could keep him company for the week. And because there’d been a terrible storm the night before the wedding, many of our other family members were left without power at their homes. Because our house had power, everybody came to stay with us! So basically the week that my parents left, we got the most attention we’ve ever had. 5 adults + 3 dogs + 1 toddler + 1 baby in one small house. It was fun!
We even got to do some bonding with our newest niece, 2-month-old Charlotte. Don’t know if you know this or not but dogs find babies very intriguing and we liked having her around. I even made Charlotte laugh. It was the first time she ever laughed! Apparently a small barking dog is funny to an infant. I also got the best compliment ever after this honeymooning/dog sitting/power outage experience. My Uncle Matt’s friend who met me for the first time during the week said she couldn’t believe I’d ever been considered a “shy dog.” Look at me folks! Happy the shy friendly dog.
Now, last but not least…to answer a burning question. Yes, we do still have Lady, our foster sister. She recently finished her heartworm treatment and it’s time to start thinking about a forever home for her. My dad has gotten quite attached. We’re hoping to find her a home in the family so we can keep in touch. It’s all a bit up in the air right now. But one things for sure, she certainly likes being with us:
